Save Energy Programs for Residents and Business Owners

On Wednesday, February 6, 2019, the Middletown Green Team and Township Officials held an outreach event for residents and business owners to learn about rebates and incentives available through New Jersey Natural Gas’ (NJNG) The SAVEGREEN Project® and New Jersey’s Clean Energy Program™ (NJCEP) to help make energy-efficiency improvements more affordable. Mayor Tony Perry spoke about some of the Township’s energy-saving initiatives and touted his recent energy audit experience through SAVEGREEN. Representatives from NJNG and NJCEP made informative presentations to the attendees, providing details on rebates and incentives available to residential and commercial customers. In fact, customers can take advantage of rebates and incentives, including NJNG’s 0% APR On-Bill Repayment Program of up to $15,000, for whole-house energy audits and equipment upgrades. Plus, there are enhanced incentives available for income-eligible households. Residents can also access rebates for ENERGY STAR-qualified appliance purchases and recycling.

SAVEGREEN on Main a program from NJNG can help small businesses become more energy-efficient.  Designed for businesses with annual energy usage of less than 5,000 therms, this program includes rebates and financing to help reduce energy costs and put those savings back into your business.  NJNG offers a FREE energy assessment to evaluate the efficiency of your equipment as well as your building’s envelope and lighting.
