Biography

Committeewoman Kimberly Kratz is proud to be a lifetime Middletown resident. She was appointed to the Middletown Township Committee in September 2021, elected in November 2021, and began her term in 2022.

Committeewoman Kratz currently serves as a Commissioner on the Middletown Housing Authority and also as a Trustee for the Middletown Library Board. She has also served as the liaison for the Veterans Affairs Committee. Committeewoman Kratz has been a member of the Middletown Municipal Alliance for a decade and has served as their Chairperson for the past three years. The Alliance works through education and awareness to prevent substance use, underage drinking, vaping, and other risky behaviors. For the past nine years, she has been helping manage Project P.L.U.S. (Peer Leaders Understanding Students), which is an after-school drug & alcohol prevention and leadership program for children in Middletown. 

Committeewoman Kratz and her family are avid supporters of our police department. They have hosted an annual fundraiser, "Middletown Backs the Blue," to aid the Middletown Township Police Department (MTPD), raising thousands of dollars. 

She has also served our community by delivering with Meals on Wheels, teaching CCD, volunteering at a local food pantry, and helping families advocate for school services for their children with special needs.  

Committeewoman Kratz attended public schools and graduated from Monmouth University with a degree in Business Administration. For the past 23 years, she has been the business manager for Kelly & Company Certified Public Accounting firm, which is headquartered in Middletown. She is also a partner with her husband, Willis, at Affordable & Reliable Home Improvements, LLC. 

Committeewoman Kratz and her husband Willis live in the Belford section of Middletown with their sons Luke and Jack, both of whom are MTPD Police Explorers.
