PLANNING BOARD OF THE TOWNSHIP OF MIDDLETOWN

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING 

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that on Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at 6:30 p.m. the Planning Board of the Township of Middletown will be holding a public hearing in the Courtroom at the new Town Hall Building located at 1 Kings Highway, Middletown, NJ 07748 to investigate and determine whether the study area hereinafter described meets the statutory criteria to be designated as an area in need of redevelopment for non-condemnation purposes under N.J.S.A. 40A:12A-5 and N.J.S.A. 40A:12A-3.   The study area that the Township Committee has requested the Planning Board to consider is designated as Block 1131, Lots 30-32 (331 Newman Springs Road), Block 1086, Lots 29-30 (100-200 Schultz Drive), Block 1089, Lots 1 and 2 (300 Half Mile Road) on the Official Tax Map of the Township of Middletown.

PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that you are privileged to be present during said public hearing to present any and all objections or support you may have and any other general comments relative to the Planning Board’s investigation as to whether the study area should be designated as an area in need of redevelopment for non-condemnation purposes.  The Resolution of the Township Committee authorizing and directing the Planning Board to undertake this investigation, the Report of Preliminary Investigation for Determination of An Area in Need of Redevelopment prepared by DMR Architects, a map depicting the boundaries of the study area, and the location of the various parcels of property included in the study area are on file with the Township Clerk and the Planning Board and can be secured from either office during normal business hours, or accessed online at:  www.middletownnj.org.
