For Immediate Release – September 24, 2021

MIDDLETOWN, NJ – Middletown Township today announced its newly-designed website (middletownnj.org) and mobile app created by government website provider CivicPlus.

“The majority of our residents rely on our website for timely and critical information, so it’s imperative that we have the most up-to-date technology to ensure a more intuitive and seamless experience for everyone,” said Mayor Tony Perry. “Both the website and app have a clean, user-friendly layout that will make it quicker and easier for both residents and businesses to access the information they need.”

This modern platform and responsive design will allow for better community engagement and enhance the communication between residents and the local government. This website features a simple blue, white and green color scheme, images that showcase the beauty of Middletown, as well as the Township’s tagline, “Proud of Our Rich Heritage”. The content and design elements will also adhere to current ADA/WCAG digital accessibility standards.

Large labeled icons will enable convenient access to permits, online payments, information about upcoming public meetings, job openings, how to report any non-emergency related concerns, and more. The calendar and “Spotlights” sections make it easy to find out about the latest news and events happening in town. There are also quick links that serve as navigation to the most popular resources featured on the site, such as programs, garbage and recycling information, how to register for emergency alerts, and a Staff Directory.

Additionally, the website provides direct access to high-traffic branded landing pages for the Police, Public Works & Engineering, and Recreation Departments. These “microsites” will help residents easily view the robust amount of information, services, and programs that these departments offer to the community.
