During the period of August 1, 2021 through August 31, 2021, the Middletown Twp. Police Department responded to 4,214 calls for service, including 357 first aid calls, 92 fire calls, 118 burglar alarms, and 137 motor vehicle crashes. 

Police officers arrested 29 individuals, including 6 for outstanding bench warrants and 5 for domestic violence. Arrests are as follows:

Michael Behrmann, age 33, from Rahway, was arrested by Officer Eric Van Schaack for driving under the influence. Behrmann was processed and released on a summons complaint.

Louis Ramirez, age 42, from Middletown, was arrested by Officer Donald Porter for criminal mischief. Ramirez was processed and lodged at the Monmouth County Correctional Institution, Freehold.

Michael Provvedi, age 46, from Middletown, was arrested by Officer Ryan Pigott for driving under the influence. Provvedi was processed and released.

Sean Nicolas, age 21, from Middletown, was arrested by Officer Michael Allen for contempt of court warrants. Nicolas was processed and released on his own recognizance.  

Shannon McCully, age 52, from Middletown, was arrested by Officer Kenneth Ross for possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. McCully was processed and released on a summons complaint.

William Pastorek, age 51, from Middletown, was arrested by Officer Kenneth Ross for possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of unlawful weapons. Pastorek was processed and released on a summons complaint.

William Priola, age 43, from Middletown, was arrested by Detective Daniel Sullivan for criminal mischief, burglary to a motor vehicle, and theft. Priola was processed and lodged at the Monmouth County Correctional Institution, Freehold.

Nataly Zherdin, age 43, from Leonardo, was arrested by Officer Sean Barry for disorderly conduct. Zherdin was processed and released on a summons complaint.

Patrick Conroy, age 34, from Middletown, was arrested by Officer Savvas Roumeliotis for a contempt of court warrant. Conroy was processed and released on his own recognizance.  

Jessica Layton, age 29, from Port Monmouth, was arrested by Officer Joshua Midose for a contempt of court warrant. Layton was processed and released to Monmouth County Sheriff’s Office.  

Thomas Flemming, age 46, from Middletown, was arrested by Officer Eric Van Schaack for driving under the influence. Flemming was processed and released on his own recognizance.  

Steven Miliante, age 41, from Matawan, was arrested by Officer Edward Jennings for terroristic threats. Miliante was processed and lodged at the Monmouth County Correctional Institution, Freehold. 

Sara Chiarenza, age 24, from Middletown, was arrested by Officer Dominick Librie for shoplifting and possession of a controlled dangerous substance. Chiarenza was processed and released on a summons complaint.

Matthew Hernandez, age 22, from Keansburg, was arrested by Officer Nicholas Zampelle for contempt of court warrants. Hernandez was processed and released on his own recognizance.   

Mark Reid, age 36, from Highlands, was arrested by Officer Sean Macdonald for assault by auto, possession of a controlled dangerous substance, and driving under the influence. Reid was processed and released on a summons complaint.    

William Priola, age 43, from Middletown, was arrested by Detective Keith Hirschbein for criminal mischief, burglary, theft, and theft of a credit card. Priola was processed and lodged at the Monmouth County Correctional Institution, Freehold. 

A person who has been arrested or charged with an offense is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Additionally, except in specific circumstances, arrest and complaint information and names of those charged may be released.
