Second Quarter Property Tax Payment Advisory

Second Quarter Tax Collection Update 5-5-20

The Middletown Township Committee passed a resolution to extend the grace period for 2nd quarter tax collection from May 11 to June 1 at the May 4, 2020 Workshop Meeting to help alleviate some of the financial hardships incurred by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Please ensure that property tax payments are received by the Tax Collection Office, located at Croydon Hall (900 Leonardville Road, Leonardo), no later than 4:00 PM on Monday, June 1, 2020 to avoid interest charges. Please do not post-date your payment. There are no refunds for payments already made.

As a reminder, the Tax Collection Office is currently closed to the public so tax payments cannot be made in person. Homeowners can pay property taxes to the Township in any of the following ways:

MAIL: You can mail your payment to the Township of Middletown, 1 Kings Highway, Middletown, NJ 07748. Please do not mail payments to Croydon Hall.

DROP BOX AT CROYDON HALL: For your convenience, tax payments can be placed in the drop box at Croydon Hall. This box is located by the door that faces the playground and is checked daily.

ONLINE: You can pay your taxes online through the Township website by visiting or click HERE to access the Township’s payment portal. Please note there is a 3rd party fee if paying by credit card but there is no charge if paying by check.
