The Middletown Township Police Department announced today that individuals who have been accepted to the Explorer Post 102 Program will be notified via email the week of October 9th.
The MTPD hosted a very successful Open House on September 14th. About 100 youth and parents attended, and the Department had 67 applicants. Speakers at the Open House included Mayor Gerry Scharfenberger, Police Chief Craig Weber, Lieutenant Charles Terefenko, who is the Post Advisor, and Robert Buob, Monmouth Council Twin Lights District Executive.
Affiliated with the Boy Scouts of America, the co-ed program offers youths ages 14 to 21 a personal awareness of the criminal justice system through training, practical experiences, competition, and other activities.
