Westminster Presbyterian Church (WPC) is redoubling its efforts and inviting the greater community to help Hurricane Irma victims the way we have done for those impacted by Hurricane Harvey.
Westminster's first Donation Trailer to aid Hurricane Harvey victims was placed on the church's Great Lawn at 94 Tindall Road in Middletown on Wednesday, September 6th. The 54 foot trailer is now completely full and is scheduled to leave for Taft, Texas on Thursday, September 14th, according to Westminster’s pastor Reverend Joseph Hein. The Relief Supplies will be delivered to residents of Taft and surrounding communities on Sunday.
WPC is now setting up a second Florida-bound trailer, also donated by Linden, NJ based company Speed Global Services, on their Great Lawn. Sixteen million Florida residents are without power as Hurricane Irma blazed a path through the entire length of the state causing catastrophic damage. It is estimated that power will not be restored to Florida residents for a minimum of 10 days. Donations from the community, including items such as baby bottles and formula, diapers and wipes, mold-killing disinfectant, mops, brooms, shovels, dust masks, heavy-duty trash bags, work gloves and personal supplies, will be welcomed beginning Thursday, September 14th through Friday, September 22nd (see the full Donation Drive List below).
There is a designated parking area near the trailer for drop off. WPC requests that you leave donations under the two tents near the trailer. After hours donations may be dropped under the sheltered roof area near the sanctuary.
