The Middletown Township Committee and the Police Department thanked Kylie Reid and Shannon McCully for their donation to support the department’s K9 unit at the February Township Committee meeting.

Kylie Reid and Shannon McCully of K9 Protection Collection donated over $5,000 to the Middletown Police Department to buy vests for the department’s K9s. The girls collected the money by having a bake sale in front of Valentinos, selling water bottles at the Henry Hudson Trail, and chocolate lollypops at Pet Smart. They also had a go fund me page for their K9 Protection Collection. Both girls attend High School North.

The Police Department currently has four K9s – Tupac, a bomb dog, Koda who specializes in patrol and narcotics, Jax who is a tracker and Nero who specializes in patrol and narcotics. They are all partnered with Middletown Patrol Officers.
