[ARCHIVED] Community Advisory: Expect Construction Activity at Veterans Housing Site Beginning Monday, 7/29

Veterans Housing Construction_News Flash

Middletown Township would like to make the community aware that the Veterans Housing project on Leonardville Road in Belford is currently under construction. On Friday, July 26th, the general contractor began delivering the piles that are required for the building foundation and they are expected to begin driving them into the ground on Monday, July 29th.  There are 156 piles, and it should take nearly two weeks.

Belford residents and surrounding businesses should be aware that the contractor will have vibration monitoring devices on the perimeter of their property to ensure that there are no exceedances occurring. This work is unlikely to affect nearby properties, however you will likely hear noise from the construction taking place. Work cannot start earlier than 7:00 AM on weekdays and 8:00 AM on weekends, but weekend work is not anticipated at this time.

Any concerns throughout the project can be directed to the general contractor, Woodward Construction Company, at 732-591-1125.
