Public input is appreciated. Light refreshments will be served.
These organizations would like to get public input on the study goals to:
- Reduce economic impacts from coastal storms and coastal flooding.
- Reduce the risks to human life, health, and safety.
- Improve the resilience of our towns to the impacts of coastal storms and flooding.
- Utilize natural and nature-based features and/or restoration of the natural coastal system of defenses to reduce impacts from coastal storms.
- Improve floodplain management.
- Improve recreation opportunities.
These meetings will also serve as National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) public scoping meetings, as they are also gathering public input for the Environmental Assessment under preparation that will assess impacts of the proposed project.
