[ARCHIVED] Community Advisory: Construction Begins on Middletown’s First Dog Park

Tindall Dog Park Construction_3.1.23_news

Middletown Township is excited to announce that its first dog park is officially underway! It will be the latest addition to Tindall Park (across the street from Middletown High School North) and located past the tennis courts and before the basketball courts.

The contractor began clearing debris from the property on Wednesday, March 1st and will install storm drainage, curbs, and water in the coming weeks. Future construction includes fencing, sod, sidewalk, and park amenities. We will also be fixing the parking lot adjacent to the dog park and installing lighting, landscaping, and more. The park will have separate areas for large and small dogs, as well as water fountains for both people and dogs. This project is funded through several initiatives, including a grant from the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection Green Acres Program.

Tindall Park is still fully accessible, but residents are encouraged to drive cautiously when driving near the construction site. The dog park is expected to be completed within three months, so local dogs can look forward to starting summer on a paw-sitive note! Stay tuned for future updates!
