Please be advised that Kings Highway East, between Stillwell Road and Portland Road, is scheduled to be repaved on November 7th through November 15th, weather permitting*. Construction activities will occur between 8AM-5PM.
Middletown Township Police Department traffic control officers and staff from the Public Works Department will be onsite to facilitate access. Please obey signage and follow all instructions from traffic control officers so everyone remains safe.
The anticipated construction schedule is as follows:
- Monday, November 7th: Mill one lane of roadway. Road will be closed to through traffic. Residents living within the construction area will be able to access their side streets and driveways.
- Tuesday, November 8th: No work due to Election Day. Road will remain open to all traffic. Use caution on rough and uneven pavement.
- Wednesday, November 9th: Pave one lane of roadway. Road will be closed to through traffic. Residents living within the construction area will be able to access their side streets and driveways. Expect delays due to the paving operations.
- Thursday, November 10th: No work.
- Friday, November 11th: No work due to Veterans Day. Road will remain open to all traffic. Use caution on rough and uneven pavement.
- Monday, November 14th: Mill one lane of roadway. Road will be closed to through traffic. Residents living within the construction area will be able to access their side streets and driveways.
- Tuesday, November 15th: Pave one lane of roadway. Road will be closed to through traffic. Residents living within the construction area will be able to access their side streets and driveways. Expect delays due to the paving operations.
*The above schedule is weather dependent and subject to change. In the event of an emergency, access for first responders will be accommodated. To ensure access for the paving equipment, please remove all yard waste, basketball hoops, hockey nets, toys, trash/recycling carts, and any other obstructions from the street prior to this work. Trash is expected to be collected as scheduled.
