MIDDLETOWN, NJ — On Monday, September 23rd, the Middletown Township Committee will be meeting with the Middletown Board of Education from 5:30 to 6:00 PM in the courtroom at Town Hall (1 Kings Highway) regarding the introduction of a new joint initiative. The Township Committee Regular Meeting will follow at 7:00 PM in the courtroom. Both meetings are open to the public.

The September 23rd meeting agenda provides an opportunity for public comment on the following agenda items. Members of the public may comment only on these topics:
- 2024-3426 Ordinance Authorizing Lease Agreement with the Middletown Township Historical Society for the Historic Railroad Station
- 2024-3427 Ordinance Amending § 84-10 Of The Code Of The Township Of Middletown Governing Special Duty Rates For Police Officers
- 2024-3428 Salary Ordinance Repealing And Replacing Introduced Ordinance No. 2024-3425
- 20245-3429 An Ordinance Providing Funding For Various Capital Purposes For The Township Of Middletown And Appropriating $2,200,000 For Such Purpose.
- 2024-3430 Bond Ordinance Providing An Appropriation Of $1,930,000 For Various Capital Improvements By And For The Township Of Middletown In The County Of Monmouth, New Jersey And Authorizing The Issuance Of $1,833,500 In Bonds Or Notes Of The Township For Financing Part Of The Appropriation
There will also be a General Public Comments section at the end of the meeting. Members of the public will be able to make comments for up to 5 minutes. Directions will be provided by the Township Clerk.

Extended Hours to Assist Public
On the evenings of Township Committee Regular Meetings, a representative from certain departments will be extending their hours from 5:30-7:30 PM to assist the public. On Monday, September 23rd, the following departments will be available at Town Hall to answer questions and/or help community members conduct municipal business:
