Parking Permits
Middletown Township offers parking at the train station and Academy bus stops along Route 36 (this does not include the parking lot at exit 109. Parking permits are required and are issued by the Township Clerk's Office. These are annual permits and no refunds will be issued for permits once mailed.
The Daily Metered Parking Lot on Church Street is located across from the Train Station. A fee of $6 per day can be paid at the convenient parking kiosk located in that lot.
Renewal for 2020 will begin December 4, 2019 and a reminder will be sent by email. Please be sure to provide us with changes by calling 732-615-2014 or by contacting the Township Clerk.

You may also download the application (PDF) and return it by mail to the address found on the top of the application or hand deliver to the Township Clerk's Office along with the appropriate fee as shown on our Permit Fees page. Please include a self-addressed, stamped envelope for return mailing of your permit.
New Permit Purchases Online
For applicants who do not currently hold a permit you will be required to create an account by using visiting the ez-Citizens page then click on “New Registration” at the login page. Please review the system requirements on the login page before you begin to avoid processing issues. Once your account is set up click on the red parking permit tag and select the blue bar labeled “new permit” and fill in all of the required fields.

If you wish to renew your permit and have not used the online process before you will be required to create an account on the ez-Citizens page then clicking on “New Registration” at the login page. Once you have created your account select the blue bar labeled “link permit” enter your current permit number, first and last name to begin the online application.

Returning Online Applicants (Renewals)
You will be able to log into your existing account using the user name and password created by you during your initial online application on the ez-Citizens Online Services website. Your current permit will appear in your existing account. Select the current permit by clicking on the circle in the “view” column and then click on the “renew” button above your permit information. You will be prompted to update your car and insurance fields before checking out.
