Join us in kicking off the holiday season with an exciting tree lighting ceremony at the Middletown Arts Center (36 Church Street by the train station)! There will be FREE art activities and entertainment such as an art exhibition, a visit from Santa, carols, children’s crafts & much more! Colonial Christmas at Historic Murray Farmhouse

Mayor Tony Perry and Committeewoman Pat Snell cut the ribbon to officially commence the Colonial Christmas festivities!

The Poricy Park Conservancy held its annual Colonial Christmas last weekend. The festivities were held at the Historic Murray Farmhouse at Poricy Park and included horse and wagon rides, hanging out with baby goats in barn, music, refreshments & photos with Santa!

Committeeman Tony Perry and Committeewoman Pat Snell stopped by to join in the merriment of the season and chat with residents.

MTPD Enforces “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” Holiday Crackdown Campaign

The Middletown Township Police Department will be cracking down on drivers impaired by alcohol or drugs as part of the annual end-of-year “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" campaign. Beginning December 6^ththrough January 1^st,the Middletown Township Police Department and state law enforcement officials will be conducting saturation patrols and sobriety checkpoints looking for motorists who may be driving while intoxicated.

The national “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” effort endeavors to raise awareness about the dangers of impaired driving through a combination of high-visibility enforcement and public education. During the last five years New Jersey has experienced nearly 37,000 alcohol involved crashes resulting in more than 679 fatalities. “In Middletown, the number of DWIs jumps dramatically during the holiday season, so it is imperative that we make the community aware that the MTPD is enforcing this for their own safety,” said Police Chief R. Craig Weber.

11th Annual Dodgeball Tournament

Can you dodge, duck, dip, dive and dodge? Do you have 7 friends? Then you could be joining in the great Middletown tradition of dodgeball! We have divisions and medals for all ages – even adults! Each team is guaranteed at least two games before elimination. Gather your crew and choose a team name. There will be a captain’s meeting to explain rules and distribute available practice times. All participants must fill out a wavier.
Ages: 6 (first grade) – Adult
