COMMUNITY CELEBRATES MIDDLETOWN DAY!

Middletown Day 2019
Middletown Day 2019
Middletown Day 2019

Thousands of people came out for Middletown Day at Croydon Hall on
Saturday, September 28th!
Everyone enjoyed a summer-like day filled with festivities that included a business and community showcase, craft fair, live local entertainment, children's activities, first responder demonstrations, a petting zoo, wagon rides, flea market and food court. Crunchy the T-Rex was once again a big hit with the kids as well as the mechanical shark!

Members of the Middletown Township Committee interacted with residents and took the time to thank the businesses and community organizations that make Middletown Day possible through their sponsorships. We cannot thank them enough for their support!

River Plaza Hosts Walk to School Day

River Plaza Walk to School Day

On Wednesday, October 2nd River Plaza Elementary School hosted its annual Walk to School Day. Principal David Whitman, along with hundreds of students, faculty, parents and community leaders participated in an effort to raise awareness about pedestrian safety for our children as well as inspire our youth to celebrate the health and environmental benefits of walking to school.

Mayor Tony Perry and Township Committee members Kevin Settembrino and Pat Snell presented River Plaza Elementary School with a certificate recognizing "Walk to School Day" in Middletown Township and commended the  school community, District and Township for working together to attain the $1 million awarded through the 2018 NJ Safer Routes to School Grant to take the necessary steps towards creating the best environment for pedestrian and
bicyclist safety.

Stride and Ride

We invite the community to join the Give2Those Stride & Ride Relay Tactical Team in carrying their memorial flag in honor and remembrance of all 9/11 victims, military, veterans & first responders through the Middletown WTC Memorial Gardens (36 Church Street next to the Middletown Arts Center) on Tuesday, October 8th at 2:15 PM (please arrive before 2PM).

Their flag holds over 10,000 images of 9/11 victims as well as first responders, military members and veterans lost during any era. If you would like an image of your loved one added to the flag, please bring a photo (5x7 or smaller) to their table in the parking lot. Any photos submitted will go into a secondary flag that will also be carried through the Memorial Gardens. At the end of the journey, the photos will be wrapped up in the main flag.
