Port Monmouth Fire Company Honors Volunteers at 
Service Awards Dinner

The Port Monmouth Fire Company held a Service Awards Dinner on Friday, November 9th at the Shore Casino to honor members who have hit certain volunteer service milestones, as well as recognize the efforts of the Ladies Auxiliary. Township Committeewoman Pat Snell stopped by the dinner to congratulate the award recipients. 

This year's Service Award recipients are Firefighter Robert Svenson Sr.(15 years of service), Former Fire Chief Peter Laimann (25 years of service), Former Captain, Engineer and Treasurer David O'Herron (40 years of service), Former Fire Chief and Port Monmouth Fire Company President Bill Gilmartin (30 years of service), Former Captain Edward Skelly (30 years of service), Firefighter Kevin Ramsey (20 years of service), Former Captain Kevin Trivett (20 years of service), and Engineer Christian Pederson (10 years of service).

Middletown Arts Center Launches New Program Series for Students with Special Needs

The Middletown Arts Center hosted the first MAC PACK event on Friday, November 9th. The MAC PACK is a new series of arts-related programming designed for students with special needs and their families. Committeewoman Pat Snell attended the event and danced the night away with the children and their families to the beats of DJ DANCE MAN! Thanks to everyone who helped launch this fantastic program!

New Jersey Turnpike Authority Begins GSP Interchange 109 Construction Project


On November 1, 2018, the New Jersey Turnpike Authority (NJTA) began a construction project to make improvements to Garden State Parkway Interchange 109 at Newman Springs Road (C.R. 520) in the Lincroft section of Middletown. Motorists are advised to expect delays and plan alternate routes if possible.

Middletown Train Station/Church Street Detour Scheduled to Continue Through 11/21


New Jersey Transit will continue to performing maintenance on the railroad crossing at Church Street over the weekend and conclude on Wednesday, November 21st, weather permitting.
