The second award was presented to Officer Nicholas Manochio for saving a dog that fell into a frozen creek in Lincroft on January 3rd. Police Chief Craig Weber commended Officer Manochio for not only this heroic action, but for his past efforts as well. Manochio has also received recognition for delivering a baby in a motel parking lot last January and for saving a woman's life in 2015 by administering CPR .
The rescued dog, Brody, and his family came to the meeting to show their appreciation. The dog's owner, Denise Sullivan, thanked Officer Manochio for the kindness and selflessness he showed on the night of the incident. Her daughter presented him with a beautiful drawing to thank him.
