Middletown Township Police Department Hires Four Officers

The Middletown Township Police Department hired four officers: Felipe Caamano, Joseph Pesany, Donald John Porter, and Joshua Revete.

Joseph Pesany, a 33-year-old resident of Old Bridge, was sworn in on December 21, 2017. Before joining the MTPD, Officer Pesany served t
hree and a half years as a Sheriff's Officer in the Middlesex County Sheriff’s Office and eight months as a Middlesex County Corrections Officer. Pesany has a degree in Criminal Justice from Middlesex County College.  

Three officers were sworn in on January 9th: Felipe Caamano, Donald John Porter, and Joshua Revete. Officer Caamano, 34, is a military veteran who served eight years as a Sergeant in the U.S. Army. He also served two years as a Sheriff’s Officer for the Middlesex County Sheriff’s Office. Caamano, a resident of Neptune, holds an Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Middlesex County College.

Donald John Porter, a 31-year-old Atlantic Highlands resident, served as a Staff Sergeant for eight years in the U.S. Army. He also spent two and a half years working as a Federal Reserve Law Enforcement Officer and is currently serving as a Staff Sergeant for the Army National Guard. Porter is a graduate of the Monmouth County Vocational School Academy of Law and Public Safety.

Joshua Revette, 31, is a resident of Tinton Falls. He worked as a security contractor at HBC Management Security Company for two years and served two years in the Navy Reserves at NSF Earle. Revette also served eight years as an active duty service member of the U.S. Navy.

New Jersey American Water

Purchased Water Adjustment Clause and Purchased Wastewater Treatment Adjustment Clause Public Forums 

On November 3, 2017, New Jersey American Water filed a request with the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities (NJBPU) for a change in its Purchased Water Adjustment Clause (PWAC) and Purchased Wastewater Treatment Adjustment Clause (PSTAC) charges. The proposed change in rates is to cover the changing fees New Jersey American Water pays to other water and wastewater purveyors for purchased water and wastewater treatment. 
The New Jersey Office of Administrative Law has scheduled public hearings for the purpose of receiving comments from the public regarding the Petition.  Please note, the dates and times of the public hearings at which members of the public are invited to attend and express their views on the proposed rate increases are as follows:

Extended Hours for Residents to Get 2018 Dog License 

The Middletown Township Health Department will be offering extended hours to obtain your 2018 dog license on Monday, January 22nd and Wednesday, January 31st from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Residents may come to the Health Department, located at 180 Main Street in Port Monmouth, to have their license processed onsite. You may still use mail or online services to license your pet. Please call 732-615-2097 or click HERE to go to the Health Department's Animal Control and Licensing webpage.

Please note: January 31st is the last day to license you dog without incurring a late fee for the year.
