Chief's Election
The Township Committee celebrated with this year's newly elected chiefs on Saturday, December 9th at Lincroft Fire Company Station 10. MTFD Celebrates Fire Chief Elections and names Ryan Clarke as new Middletown Township Fire Chief 

A snowy Saturday didn't stop everyone from packing in the Lincroft Fire Company last weekend to witness this years Chiefs' Election for the Middletown Township Fire Department. Everyone mingled and celebrated as the new Fire Chief and Company Chiefs were voted into office. 

We congratulate newly-appointed Township Fire Chief Ryan Clarke, as well as Company Chiefs Steve Schweizer, Russ Mount III, John Friedmann and Bernie Chenoweth on their election. The large turnout and incredible spirit is testament to how much Middletown supports this amazing group of volunteers!

Congratulations to all of the 5th grade students from Lincroft, Middletown Village, Nut Swamp and River Plaza schools who participated in the 7-week Project P.L.U.S. (Peer Leaders Understanding Students) after-school drug awareness program. Thank you to all of the guest speakers, staff and volunteers who make this program possible!

Brevent Park Firetruck Featured on 2017 KME Christmas Ornament 

Not only do we have an outstanding group of volunteer firefighters in Middletown, but we also have some great looking firetrucks! Brevent Park's own 31-2-91 firetruck is being featured in the official 2017 KME Christmas ornament. Township-Wide Garbage & Recycling Program Featured Question

Q: Can I get smaller carts or purchase additional carts? 

The Township is encouraging residents to try the 95-gallon carts for the month of January. If this cart size does not suit your needs, 35-gallon carts will be available next week and 65-gallon carts will be available at the end of January. To receive a smaller cart, please send an email to recycling@middletownnj.org that provides your full name, address and telephone number. Please specify what size cart you are interested in.
Additional garbage and recycling carts are available to residents. The cost for collection service and rental of one additional recycling cart of any size will be $100 for a 5-year period. The cost for collection service and rental of one additional garbage cart of any size will be $500 for a 5-year period. If you would like to purchase additional carts, please send an email to recycling@middletownnj.org that provides your full name, address and telephone number and specify what type of additional carts you are interested in getting. If you decide to purchase additional carts, you can bring a check made payable to “Township of Middletown” to the Department of Public Works at 52 Kanes Lane during regular business hours.

As a reminder, please do not use your new carts until our Township-wide program begins in January. If you currently use a private hauler, contact them now to cancel your service. 
2017 Holiday House Light Contest
The Middletown PBA is collecting toys for the Annual PBA Toy Drive. They are supporting the following foundations this holiday season: Middletown Helps Its Own, Jason's Dreams for Kids, and 180 Turning Lives Around. All toys can be dropped off at Middletown Twp. Police Headquarters and will be collected until December 23rd at 6pm.
