Farmers and Makers Market: Tomorrow, Sat. August 26th!

Head to the grass area of the Arts Center to check out local farmers, food trucks, and makers selling their hand made goods this Saturday from 8:00 AM until noon. Free parking can be found at the Train Station lot across from the Arts Center. Vendors include:

  •  "A Unique Find" LLC: Vintage hand-painted small furniture pieces and home decorative items
  • Belford Seafood Co-Op: Fresh caught raw fish and seafood
  • Capelli Farms LLC: Various seasonal produce
  • Crafted In Nature LLC: Handcrafted rustic home d├ęcor items. 
  • The Dudes Mobile Foods: Food truck offering breakfast and lunch sandwiches, as well as coffee
  • Juice For Us: Food truck serving juices and smoothies
  • Nine Birds Studio: Hand crafted jewelry & necklaces, earrings, bracelets. Pieces are made with brass, gold filled, sterling silver, and semi- precious gemstones 
  • Oasis Therapeutic Life Center, Inc.: Fresh produce, goat milk soap, jam, ceramic & wood shop products
  • Rustic Home Candle Co.: Handmade, hand- poured, small batch soy candles
  • Tree People Botanicals: Items created from recycled/salvages trees. Plants, in season veggies, quail eggs, health, wellness, and skin care products made from all natural ingredients

Middletown Township Police Department Promotes Two Officers to Sergeant and Hires 3 New Officers

The Middletown Township Police Department promoted two officers to the rank of sergeant and hired three officers this summer. Sergeants Richard Fusella and Antonio Ciccone III, and newly hired officers Tony Perito, Salvatore G. Albanese, and Douglas P. Habermann, accepted their oaths of office at the Township Committee meeting on August 21st.

Middletown Township Rabies Alert 

On August 24th, the Middletown Township Health Department announced that it received laboratory confirmation of a raccoon testing positive for Rabies. The animal had contact with a dog on August 18, 2017. Fortunately, the dog was currently vaccinated against Rabies. The incident occurred in the area of Sears Avenue, located in the Atlantic Highlands area of the Township. Click HERE for more information. 

Free Fall Rabies Clinic

The Middletown Township Health Department will be providing free rabies vaccinations for cats only on September 9, 2017 (9:00 AM - 10:30 AM) and dogs only on October 14, 2017 (9:00 AM -11:00 AM). The clinics will be held at the Croydon Hall Gym, 900 Leonardville Road in Leonardo. Call 732-615-2097 for more information.
