On Tuesday, Mayor Tony Perry and Committeeman Ryan Clarke visited Shadow Lake Village in River Plaza to check on the progress of Middletown's new street resurfacing pilot program. This innovative micro-resurfacing process can help extend the life of Township roads by nearly a decade at a fraction of the cost of traditional milling and paving. By addressing cracks and potholes without the higher expenses, this program has the potential to deliver new roadways to residents at a much faster pace each year.

In July 2026, the United States will mark its 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence – and Middletown is preparing to celebrate in a monumental way! The Township's America 250 Committee has already started planning thoughtful ways to commemorate this historic milestone. Middletown Recreation and the Sand Hill Indian Historical Association are partnering to host the first official America 250 event, Stories 'Round the Campfire, on Sunday, August 18th. The event will take place at 7:30 PM at the Middletown Arts Center's lawn, located at 36 Church Street! We encourage everyone to join us for this free event as we dig deep into our community's rich history. Bring your own lawn chair or blanket and make s’mores while listening to local county tales under the moonlight just like Native American tribes used to do many centuries ago.
