How to Report a Neighborhood Safety Concern The Safety Council of Middletown would like to hear from residents about any safety concerns that may be occurring in their neighborhood. The Safety Council is an advisory board that reviews safety concerns in the township and provides guidance to the Township Committee and the Police Department. Some safety issues the board can help address include: - Speeding
- Parking on busy roads that impact traffic flow
- Roads that flood from little rainfall
- Traffic not adhering to crosswalk or stop signs
- Trees and branches that are limiting passage on sidewalks
- Sidewalks that are uprooted or damaged that could cause someone to fall
- Unusual amount of traffic or people congregating at a specific house in your neighborhood that could indicate possible illegal activity
- Garbage piling up on side roads or on a lot in your neighborhood
If you would like a safety issue addressed, please inform the Council so they can help you achieve a successful outcome. You can report your safety concern by contacting the Middletown Crossing Guard Office at 732-615-2100 ext. 2044 or by emailing bpfleger@middletownnj.org.
