Community members had an EGGcelent time at Middletown Recreation’s Spring EGGstravaganza on Monday at the Middletown Arts Center (MAC)! Families gathered to grab some photos with the Easter Bunny, plant flowers, do crafts, and enjoy the petting zoo and bounce house. The No Limits Café food truck was also there to serve up some tasty treats!

MAC School's Out Day Camp

Register for MAC's School's Out Day Camp Happening 3/29 and 4/1-4/5


The Middletown Arts Center (MAC) will be hosting its School's Out Day Camp on Friday, March 29th and from Monday, April 1st through Friday, April 5th! The MAC offers full- and half-day camp programming for elementary school students when Middletown's public school district is closed. Young students are invited to fill their days off from school with crafting, doodling, and more creative activities with Miss Fish, the Doodle Dude, and friends. 
        
There are morning, afternoon, and full-day sessions. A half-day costs $38 and a full-day costs $75. Children may be dropped off at the MAC Annex, which is located at the Middletown Reformed Church (121 Kings Highway), any time after 8:30 AM and must be picked up by 3:30 PM.

Spend spring break shredding with Middletown Recreation at the newly-opened Skate Park at Kunkel Park in Leonardo! Coach Dave will guide these introductory and intermediate classes for kids between the ages of 5-14. Equipment will NOT be provided, so please bring your own.

Register for MTPL's "The Sky By Day & By Night" Program Happening on Monday, 4/1 at 7 PM

MTPL The Sky By Day & By Night

Celebrate spring break with a celestial program that is part of the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) Big Read Grant at the Middletown Township Public Library (MTPL)! 

Join the MTPL (55 New Monmouth Road) on Monday, April 1st as amateur astronomer Jim Peck leads the "The Sky By Day & By Night" program which will cover topics such as planets, stars and constellations, deep sky objects, artificial satellites, and the sun's path across the sky. He will use software that shows the sky exactly as you would see it if you went outside after dark.

Register for the NEA Big Read Kick-Off Event Happening on Thursday, 4/4 from 10 AM - 3 PM

MTPL NEA Kickoff

In recognition of the almost total eclipse on Monday, April 8th, the MTPL and Middletown Recreation will be hosting the NEA Big Read Kick-off Event where patrons can check out the sky in the Mobile Ed Sky Dome Planetarium on Thursday, April 4th! There will be five 45-minute sessions between 10 AM and 3 PM.

Each person who attends the program will receive a pair of eclipse glasses in anticipation of the eclipse. While there will be multiple sessions throughout the day, registration is required for ALL attendees so they can limit the number of people in the sky dome to allow for comfort.

Support USS NEW JERSEY Commissioning Ceremony at Comedy Show Fundraiser on Wednesday, 4/3 at 7:30 PM

The USS NEW JERSEY Commissioning Week has partnered with Count Basie Center for the Arts in Red Bank to create a comedy show - Mike Marino and Friends Celebrate the Commissioning of the USS NEW JERSEY. This entertaining fundraiser will take place on Wednesday, April 3rd at 7:30 PM. Enjoy a night out and support the upcoming commissioning of USS NEW JERSEY (SSN 796) with your $75 ticket, which includes a private viewing, two drinks, and light fare. 

Limited tickets are available, so don't wait! Doors open at 6:30 PM. The Middletown Township Committee encourages you to purchase tickets and laugh your socks off!

Monmouth ACTS Navigation System

Monmouth County has recently launched the Monmouth ACTS Navigation System – an easy way for residents to find and access appropriate services in Monmouth County to meet their needs. Created as part of Monmouth County’s Department of Human Services, the Navigation System will serve as one point of entry for residents to be connected to any human service provider in the County without needing to make multiple calls and needing to tell their story again and again.

Middletown’s Office of Emergency Management encourages residents with disabilities to register with NJ Register Ready. This free program is designed to assist first responders and emergency planners in identifying community members who may need assistance evacuating in advance of an emergency.

Make an Appointment for Middletown Health Department & Monmouth County's Free Vaccine Clinics

Free Public Health Clinics: Latest available vaccines. Ages 6 months and up. No insurance required. Every other Tuesday, beginning January 30, 2024 from 1-3 pm at 1 Kings Highway. Call 732-431-7456 to make an appointment.

The next clinic is on Tuesday, April 9th.

Clinics are available by appointment only, so please call 732-431-7456 if you would like to make one. Patients under the age of 18 need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Patients are NOT required to have insurance or bring their immunization records.

Monmouth County Mosquito Madness Tire Pick-up Program is Available through Sunday, 3/31

Monmouth County Mosquito Tire Pick-up Program

The Monmouth County Mosquito Control Division will be picking up tires through Sunday, March 31st to help prevent mosquitoes from growing in tires that hold rainwater. The division will come to your property and collect up to 10 car tires without rims. Please call 732-542-3630 and provide your name, address, number of tires, and the location of the tires on your property to arrange a pick-up. You do not need to bring the tires to the curb. 

The Middletown Township Health Department encourages residents to participate in this program if you have tires that are wet and ready to be discarded. If you have tires you want to keep, please either store them inside or securely cover them if they are outside.
