Middletown Township Committee Executes Town-Wide Improvements Through Open Space Trust Fund More than 67 percent of Middletown Township residents voted in favor of the Open Space referendum on the November 2020 General Election Ballot that increased the annual collection rate from $.02 to $.03 per $100 in equalized valuation. Due to this support, the Township is now able to utilize the Open Space Trust Fund to acquire open space, as well as make upgrades and improvements to the more than 60 parks across Middletown.
“Thanks to the voters of Middletown, the Township is able embark on an aggressive campaign to not only preserve open space and historic farmland across town, but also make the necessary upgrades to our recreational facilities,” said Mayor Tony Perry. “Over the course of the next several years, Middletown is set to make significant improvements and upgrades to 10 of our parks and playgrounds all across the township.”
The Department of Public Works will also continue to make improvements to the remainder of Township parks.

Updated Travel Quarantine Guidelines from New Jersey Department of Health
Consistent with CDC's recommendations, the NJDOH has updated guidance for fully vaccinated persons as it relates to travel. Fully vaccinated persons should get tested 3-5 days after returning to the United States from international travel, but no quarantine following travel or test before travel (unless required by the destination) is needed. For domestic travel within the U.S., no quarantine or test before or after travel is needed for fully vaccinated travelers.
Travel recommendations for persons recently recovered from COVID-19 have also been updated. Similar to fully vaccinated travelers, persons who clinically recovered from COVID-19 in the past 3 months do not need to quarantine after travel. In addition, they do not need to be tested before or after travel, domestic or international.
All travelers should continue to wear a mask while traveling, stay 6 feet from others and avoid crowds, wash hands often or use hand sanitizer, self-monitor for symptoms during and after travel, and self-isolate should symptoms develop. For unvaccinated travelers, or travelers who have not recently recovered from COVID-19, the self-quarantine is voluntary, but compliance is expected.
