Middletown Partners with VNACJ Community Health Center to Offer COVID-19 Vaccines to Seniors

Middletown Township and the Visiting Nurse Association of Central Jersey (VNACJ) Community Health Center have partnered to offer COVID-19 vaccinations to Township residents who are 65 and older.
The Township will begin accepting pre-registration appointments for next week on Friday, March 5th. To schedule an appointment to pre-register for the vaccine, please call the Middletown COVID-19 vaccine hotline at 732-615-3228 between the hours of 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM or email covid19@middletownnj.org. Middletown South Wins Mayor's Cup with 5-3 Victory Over Middletown North
|
|
|
|
|
Mayor Tony Perry had the honor of dropping the puck for the Mayor's Cup on Tuesday, March 2nd at Middletown Ice World. There were three goals in the final two minutes between rival High School North and South hockey teams, but South secured its second consecutive Mayor's Cup win with a 5-3 victory.
Congratulations to all of the seniors on their outstanding careers!

Middletown Township Committee Lights Town Hall Blue in Remembrance of COVID Victims
To mark the one-year anniversary of lives lost due to COVID-19, the Township Committee will light Town Hall (1 Kings Highway) blue nightly from March 4th through March 11th. We hope our community will see the blue lights and pause to remember those who have been impacted by this devastating pandemic.

Middletown Township Public Library Celebrates 100 Years of Service
The Middletown Township Public Library kicks off its centennial year with a virtual discussion on the Pulitzer nominated, National Book Award Winner, and New York Times Bestseller In the Heart of the Sea: The Tragedy of the Whaleship Essex by Nathaniel Philbrick. The public can view the discussion anytime between 3/22- 4/30 at https://www.mtpl.org/nea-big-read/.

Today, we are once again reinventing how the library delivers programs and services to the Middletown residents. DPW Introduces "Where Does It Go?" Recycling Education Video Series

The Middletown Department of Public Works introduces its new "Where Does it Go?" recycling education video series where they demonstrate what happens to different items in the stream after they are dropped off at the Middletown Recycling Center (52 Kanes Lane). This episode highlights what happens to electronics, (including televisions, wires and computers) as they go through the process of being recycled. Click HERE to watch the video.

Register Now for Middletown Arts Center Spring Session Classes!
The Middletown Arts Center has an exciting Spring Session lineup of classes with brand new courses including Acting Through Song, Beginning Tap and Adult Tap, as well as classes with your favorite instructors like Doodle Dude, Miss Fish and many more! The Spring Session is IN-PERSON and will be held in TWO spacious locations - the Middletown Arts Center (36 Church Street) and the ANNEX location at the nearby, Middletown Reformed Church. The session features classes for children, teens, tweens and adults in disciplines such as theatre, dance, art, music and more. Classes will not meet the Spring Break week of March 29th, but stay tuned for special programming during this time. Instructors and staff will follow CDC guidelines by practicing social distancing, limiting class sizes and taking temperatures.

If you are eligible to receive a vaccine, there are generally three ways to get vaccinated:You can pre-register for the vaccine on the NJ Vaccine Scheduling System. This online portal enables prioritized groups of individuals, and eventually the general public, to find a vaccination site, pre-register, and schedule an appointment when one is available. Click here to to visit the NJ Vaccine Scheduling System. Select healthcare facilities, including many hospitals, are offering vaccines to directly to their employees and volunteers. If you work at one of the facilities, you can contact your employer to learn if the vaccine is available to you.
If you don't qualify for a vaccine at this time, register on the NJ Vaccine Scheduling System and they will notify you when the vaccine is available for you.

Municipal Offices Open to Public By Appointment Only
|
|
|
|
|
To help ensure the safety of visitors and employees, municipal offices are now open to the public by appointment only. The only exception is for in-person tax payments at the Tax Collector's Office.
Employees and visitors must wear a face mask and adhere to social distancing guidelines. If you would like to schedule an appointment, you can reach the various departments at the phone numbers listed HERE.
