COVID Vaccine Eligibility Information

If you are eligible to receive a vaccine, there are generally three ways to get vaccinated:You can pre-register for the vaccine on the NJ Vaccine Scheduling System. This online portal enables prioritized groups of individuals, and eventually the general public, to find a vaccination site, pre-register, and schedule an appointment when one is available. Click here to to visit the NJ Vaccine Scheduling System. Select healthcare facilities, including many hospitals, are offering vaccines to directly to their employees and volunteers. If you work at one of the facilities, you can contact your employer to learn if the vaccine is available to you.
If you don't qualify for a vaccine at this time, register on the NJ Vaccine Scheduling System and they will notify you when the vaccine is available for you.

The Middletown Township Committee Regular Meeting on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at 7:00 PM will be made available live through Webex Event Center.

Meet Dr. King is a much-anticipated production for young audiences that celebrates the life and work of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. in an accessible and easy to follow story.
Students will learn about key moments in the life of Dr. King, from his childhood in Atlanta, Georgia and the important lessons passed down by his father, to some of his greatest moments as an inspiring leader.
Meet Dr. King is the perfect introduction to an American hero and will encourage young audiences to use peace, leadership and conflict resolution in their own schools and communities.
This is a recorded performance which may be viewed any time between 1/18/2021-2/1/2021. Link will be posted. Recommended for children in Grades K-5.

 This Kahoot game is five rounds of multiple choice questions all about Disney! Test your knowledge on the music, movies, and characters.
To play, you’ll need one screen to watch the event and see the questions and answers. Every participant will need their own “signaling device” (any smartphone, tablet, or additional computer). So grab your phones, gather around the dinner table, and see who in your family is a trivia master! Questions range in difficulty, so everyone has a chance to win.
A prize will be awarded to the top trivia master! Prizes will be available for pick-up only at Poricy Park Nature Center (345 Oak Hill Road) during normal business hours.

 Guided Hike: Letters in Branches
Date: Wednesday or Thursday, January 20 or 21
Time: 4:00pm – 4:30pm
Get out and stretch your legs! Great for all ages. Each week a new topic will be discussed along the trails at Poricy Park. This week offers a nature photography lesson by looking for the letters of your name in branches. An iPad will be provided for each registered participant, but you're welcome to bring your own device if you'd like to save your pictures. Pre-registration is recommended, but walk-ins are also welcome if space permits (no cash accepted). All children must be accompanied by an adult. Rain or shine, dress for the weather.

Due to COVID-19, in-person dog licensing for 2021 is being done at the Health Department (180 Main Street, Port Monmouth) this month by ONLINE APPOINTMENT ONLY.

MTPD is helping 180 Turning Lives Around recruit community volunteers to serve on the Sexual Assault Response Team. There will be a 40-hour mandatory training course via Zoom February 2-25. Applications are being accepted through Friday, January 22nd. Please consider volunteering.

Community Survey About Traveling in Monmouth County

What could make it easier for you to get to where you are trying to go in Monmouth County, whether you’re traveling to a store or spending a day at the shore? Monmouth Within Reach is a study being led by transportation planners from Monmouth County and the North Jersey Transportation Planning Authority, with professional assistance from Stantec and Stokes Creative Group, Inc. Monmouth Within Reach is a federally funded study to develop strategies and best practices to reduce congestion related to tourism and events by using the resources we have to more effectively manage the demands on our transportation network. A study like this needs your input, so please help by taking this survey about your experience traveling in the County on heavy travel days. New Drop Box at Building & Inspection Department Located at Croydon Hall Annex

The Inspection Department now has a drop box for permits, applications and payments located at the SIDE entrance of the Croydon Hall Annex (900 Leonardville Road). The *drop box is available 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM Monday-Friday. All items placed in the box MUST be placed in a sealed envelope with an address.

EMACC Collaborates on Monmouth County's #KeepMonmouthSafe Campaign

Monmouth County Commissioner Director Tom Arnone announced a new "Keep Monmouth Safe" social messaging campaign for Monmouth County residents and visitors to address pandemic fatigue with the goal of helping our local businesses continue to encourage Public Health & Safety protocols. The Eastern Monmouth Area Chamber of Commerce (EMACC) worked with the County to develop the #KeepMonmouthSafe campaign messaging for businesses.
The campaign is being advertised on billboards along Monmouth County roadways. There is also signage for businesses to download and print and frames to share on social media. The campaign messaging includes:

Municipal Offices Open to Public By Appointment Only
|

|

To help ensure the safety of visitors and employees, municipal offices are now open to the public by appointment only. The only exception is for in-person tax payments at the Tax Collector's Office.
Employees and visitors must wear a face mask and adhere to social distancing guidelines. If you would like to schedule an appointment, you can reach the various departments at the phone numbers listed HERE.
