Middletown Holds Organization Day Meeting: Mayor Tony Perry & Deputy Mayor Rick Hibell to Serve in 2021

 Tony Perry was sworn in for his third consecutive year as Mayor by Commissioner Director Tom Arnone while his wife Alannah and 5-month-old daughter Reagan stood by his side. This is the first time in over 45 years that a mayor has served three years in a row since Mayor Thomas J. Lynch (1972-1974).

 Mayor Perry swore in Rick Hibell to serve as Deputy Mayor as his family proudly supported him.
|
|
|
 Committeewoman Pat Snell, surrounded by family members, was sworn in to serve her second three-year term as Committeewoman. Former Mayor Tony Fiore, who retired from the Middletown Township Committee, administered Snell's Oath of Office.

Middletown Township held its annual Organization Day meeting on Sunday, January 3rd. The community was invited to join the meeting virtually via Webex Event Center.
Under the Township’s form of government, the Township Committee designates two members to serve as mayor and deputy mayor for a one-year term. Tony Perry was chosen to serve as Mayor and Rick Hibell as Deputy Mayor.
Committeewoman Patricia Snell accepted the Oath of Office to serve her second consecutive term. Ryan Clarke accepted the Oath of Office to serve his first term.
The Organization Day meeting is currently being aired on the Township’s TV channel (Verizon FiOS Channel 26/Comcast Cable Channel 20) at 5:00 PM and 8:30 PM as well as on the Township's YouTube channel.

On Sunday, January 3rd, Mayor Tony Perry, with the support of the Township Committee, had the privilege of swearing in the 2021 Fire and EMS Chiefs at Brevent Park Fire Company in Leonardo. Congratulations to Fire Chief John Friedmann, Deputy Fire Chief Bernard Chenoweth III, First Assistant Fire Chief John Waltz, Second Assistant Fire Chief William Kane Jr., and newly-elected Third Assistant Fire Chief Anthony Fulciniti. Mayor Perry Meets Up Virtually With Daisy and Brownie Troops Working Towards Earning Democracy Badge

 On Tuesday, January 5, Mayor Perry hopped on a Zoom meeting with Bayview Elementary School Daisy Troop 223 to help them learn about the various roles in local government, including his own as Mayor of our town.
|
|
|
Wish wish our future leaders the best of luck with earning their Democracy badge!

|
 He also had the pleasure of joining New Monmouth Elementary School Brownie Troop 323's Zoom meeting on Wednesday to discuss our local government. They also exchanged some really funny jokes!

Monmouth Within Reach is a study being led by transportation planners from Monmouth County and the North Jersey Transportation Planning Authority, with professional assistance from Stantec and Stokes Creative Group, Inc. Monmouth Within Reach is a federally funded study to develop strategies and best practices to reduce congestion related to tourism and events by using the resources we have to more effectively manage the demands on our transportation network. A study like this needs your input, so please help by taking this survey about your experience traveling in the County on heavy travel days. New Drop Box at Building & Inspection Department Located at Croydon Hall Annex

The Inspection Department now has a drop box for permits, applications and payments located at the SIDE entrance of the Croydon Hall Annex (900 Leonardville Road). The *drop box is available 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM Monday-Friday. All items placed in the box MUST be placed in a sealed envelope with an address.

To locate free COVID-19 testing visit covid19.nj.gov/freetest (insurance accepted but not required; no out of pocket fees). Many of the free testing sites that are run by counties or non-profit organizations may offer limited testing dates and/or times. Additional testing options may be found at covid19.nj.gov/testing. Testing sites accept most insurance, but if the individual has no insurance, the site may require payment up front and/or charge fees for services involved with testing.

Municipal Offices Open to Public By Appointment Only
|
|
|
|
|
To help ensure the safety of visitors and employees, municipal offices are now open to the public by appointment only. The only exception is for in-person tax payments at the Tax Collector's Office.
Employees and visitors must wear a face mask and adhere to social distancing guidelines. If you would like to schedule an appointment, you can reach the various departments at the phone numbers listed HERE.
