Historical Essay Contest Winners!

Historical Essay Contest Winners
Mayor Tony Perry and Committeewoman Pat Snell presented certificates to the winners of the "Middletown's Impact on History" essay contest at the Wednesday, February 26th Board of Education meeting. The contest was open to all Middletown children enrolled in 6th, 7th or 8th grade. Winners were selected by members of the Middletown Township Historic Preservation Commission and prizes were given courtesy of the              Middletown Township Historical Society. 

On Wednesday, February 26th, Mayor Tony Perry and Committeewoman Pat Snell attended the Board of Education meeting to present certificates to the winners of the middle school "Middletown's Impact on History" essay contest presented by the Middletown Historic Preservation Commission and Middletown Historical Society.


                           Congratulations to the following students:                                                   

6th grade: Isabella Bossert (Bayshore)     
7th grade: Sarkis Marrin (Holy Cross), Braden Black (Bayshore)                
8th grade: Erica Vazquez (Thorne), Haleigh Robertson (Thorne) and
Adriana Whelan (Thorne) 


We hope you will continue demonstrating pride in our Township’s rich heritage and inspiring others

Mayor Tony Perry presented Villa Restaurant owner Tony Dabi with a "Made in Middletown" certificate to thank his family for providing jobs, revenue for the town and delicious Italian food to our residents for several decades. 

Congratulations to Villa Restaurant on being the most recent recipient of the Made in Middletown small business award! This family-owned business, located at 794 State Route 35 (in the Kohl's Shopping Plaza), has provided a cozy atmosphere and home-cooked flavor to our community for over 30 years.

Renew Your Dog License Before March 1st to Avoid Additional
Late Fees


The Middletown Health Department would like to remind residents that all dog licenses should have been renewed by Jan 31st. Any dog license that was not renewed will incur a $5.00 late fee through February 29th. If you haven’t renewed yet, please do so before the next late fee of an additional $2.00 starts on March 1st.

All dogs and cats must be licensed in Middletown. You may obtain a license online 
through the citizen portal, at the Health Department Office (180 Main Street, Port Monmouth), or by mailing your license to the Health Department's attention to 1 Kings Highway, Middletown, NJ 07748. Please call 732-615-2097 for more information.
