Township officials met this morning with the Army Corps of Engineers and the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection in advance of the upcoming rain event.
The State has moved the new tide gate and pump station on Port Monmouth Road into "storm mode" so it will be fully operational during the storm today and tomorrow.
The floodgate on Wilson Avenue will be left in the open position so water from the flood prone streets drains to the new pumps at the new tidegate.
