MIDDLETOWN, NJ – As a preventative measure, the Middletown Township Committee has restricted public access to Township buildings and canceled all activities (with the exception of the March 16th Township Committee Meeting) starting Saturday, March 14th through Tuesday, March 31st to protect residents from the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19).

The Middletown Township Public Library (55 New Monmouth Road) will be open to the public on Saturday, but closed beginning Monday, March 16th. The Middletown Township Police Department will continue to remain open to the public and available to respond to calls 24/7.

“Out of an abundance of caution, the Township Committee and I believe it is in the community’s best interest to limit personal interactions during this period of uncertainty,” said Mayor Tony Perry. “We strongly encourage residents to visit our website and register for Township emergency alerts to stay on top of this ever-changing situation.”
