The Middletown Municipal Alliance is partnering with the Mental Health Association of Monmouth County to provide free Mental Health First Aid Trainings. Training sessions are open to all, regardless of experience, and capped at 30 participants. CANCELED: Youth Mental Health First Aid Training on Saturday, May 14th from 9 AM - 5 PM: This training session will teach adults how to identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental illness and substance use disorders in youth. It provides adults who work with youth the skills they need to reach out and provide initial support to children and adolescents (ages 6-18) who may be developing a mental health or substance use problem and help connect them to the appropriate care.
Adult Mental Health First Aid Training on Saturday, June 11th from 9 AM - 5 PM: This training session will teach volunteers how to identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental health and substance use challenges among adults. It will also include expanded content on trauma, substance use, and self-care. The deadline to register is Saturday, May 28th.
