Please note: There is NO garbage collection (if you reside in the Garbage District) on the following holidays: Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Years Day.
* As of January 1, 2018, all Middletown residents will be part of the Township-wide garbage & recycling collection program. Additional information will be posted when it becomes available.
Middletown currently offers curbside garbage collection in certain areas of town. Residents who reside in this Garbage District pay a garbage tax to receive municipal collection services. Residents who currently do not reside in the Garbage District do not pay this tax and must arrange for a private hauler to collect their garbage.
Check here to see if you are in the Township Garbage District.
There are 2 types of garbage - solid waste & bulk waste.
SOLID WASTE is your typical household garbage, excluding recyclable items.
BULK WASTE is defined as waste items that are too large to be accepted by the regular garbage collection. These items include, but are not limited to furniture, fixtures, etc, excluding building material, demolition material, major household appliances, electrical and plumbing fixtures. Bulk waste may not be more than 6 feet in length nor more than 50 pounds; only 1-2 pieces. Collection will occur on the 2nd garbage collection day (Thursday, Friday, Saturday) of each week.
